In keeping with the Mission of our parish, we encourage you to “Strive to strengthen your relationship with God by committing to a life of Eucharistic celebration, Christian ministry, and hospitality to all of our parish family and community.”

You are invited to share in serving God and the family of St. George through one or more of the following ministries

- Ministry of Caring: Provides care to our homebound parishioners, Eucharistic visits and personal services as needed. Ministers serve the families of members who have died or experienced a personal crisis in their lives. Training will be provided for home visits and for bereavement times.

- Ministry of Hospitality: The Ministry of Hospitality (usher, greeter, etc.) has been a part of worship services for centuries before the time of Christ. Since the Second Vatican Council the services the Hospitality Ministry has been greatly expanded. Many times they are the first to meet new parishioners and help create an impression of a friendly parish. This ministry provides a great opportunity to serve at our Liturgy and in the parish in general.

- Ministry of the Eucharist: Pope John Paul recently said “The Eucharist, as Christ’s saving presence in the community of the faithful and its spiritual food, is the most precious possession which the Church can have in her journey through history.” The aspect of this gift that stands out above all others is the reality of Christ’s real presence under the form of bread and wine. The Eucharistic Minister distributes the precious Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to our homebound parishioners.

- Ministry of the Word: The Word of God coming to us in Sacred Scripture and containing the very essence of salvation for God’s children creates, is effective and endures. The lector helps make the Word of God present in the congregation during the liturgy.
